Today, it’s the turn of Harrogate & District Soroptimists.
Soroptimist International is a global volunteer movement working together to transform the lives of women and girls with nearly 80,000 Members in 124 countries.
They chose to support Just ‘B’.
Who are Just ‘B’?
Just ‘B’ offers expert emotional wellbeing and bereavement support to children, young people and adults across the communities of North Yorkshire, as well as national support for frontline staff.
They give one-to-one emotional wellbeing and bereavement support, offering information and advice for professionals. In addition, their bereavement support service helps people people experiencing any type of bereavement, including suicide, road traffic accident or terminal illness.
We caught up with Sandra Frier, immediate past president of Harrogate & District Soroptimists, to learn more.
How has the donation benefited Just ‘B’?
“The aim of the Harrogate & District Soroptimists Fashion Show was to raise as many funds as we could for Just ‘B’ – a charity which provides invaluable emotional health, wellbeing and bereavement support for people 365 days a year,” Sandra explains.
“I would like to thank you very much for your very generous support to our fashion show in aid of Just ‘B’. I am absolutely delighted to let you know that a fantastic £7,300 was raised, which will help to continue to provide emotional wellbeing and bereavement support to children, young people, and adults across North Yorkshire.”
Community funding
At Stonebridge Homes, we will continue to work with local charities through donations, sponsorship and time given by employees. It’s important to us to give something back to the communities in which we build.
