Our 10-step guide to buying your perfect Stonebridge home.

We’ve developed a simple step by step guide to help you understand every part of your buying journey with us.

Step 1

Book an appointment and have a chat with one of our friendly Sales Advisors, whether that be over the phone or in person at one of our marketing suites. Your Sales Advisor will be able to tell you everything about the development.

Step 2

If you decide a Stonebridge home is for you, we’ll then chat through the financial side of buying to ensure you’re comfortable with the process, and any associated costs (e.g. stamp duty).

Step 3

You can then reserve your brand new home. We will go through all of the plot details with you, and there’s a £500 reservation fee to secure your home.

Step 4

Once your reservation is confirmed, you’ll need to progress with a mortgage application (if you require one). You’ll also need to appoint a solicitor. Again, our friendly sales team will be able to provide recommendations if you need them.

Step 5

Your solicitor will then carry out searches, organise your mortgage application and a surveyor to carry out a valuation. This ensures that everything is ready for contracts to be exchanged, which is when the home truly becomes yours.

Step 6

Then it’s onto the fun bit… if you reserve your new home early in the build process you will be able to choose items such as your kitchen cabinets and worktops and bathroom tiling, and any additional bespoke options you may like too.

Step 7

Your Sales Advisor will update you on how your new home is progressing throughout the whole build stage.

Step 8

First fix time! Once your house has the foundations, walls and roof built you will be invited to take a look around. At this stage, you can gain a better understanding of where everything is in your new home.

Step 9

The day comes when your new home has been built and contracts signed, you’re ready to move into your new home. Your Sales Advisor will arrange a completion date with you and it’s all systems go!

Step 10

When the big day arrives, you’ll get a thorough and comprehensive home demonstration. This is a fantastic chance to get to know all about your new home and how it works, and you’ll be able to ask any questions you have too.
