COVID-19 Statement

Stonebridge Homes – Updated COVID-19 Statement 06.01.2021

To all our customers and colleagues, the safety of you all remains our top priority and is of the utmost importance to us. Thank you in advance for helping to keep everyone safe.

The Government’s recent announcement confirmed that the construction industry is to continue to operate throughout the January/February 2021 lockdown. This means that any house moving-related activities, including visiting show homes and marketing suites are allowed – if abiding by Covid secure protocol.

We know how important viewing a property in person is when choosing your next home, and whilst we remain open and continue to offer viewings of our homes, this is strictly by appointment only. We continue to offer appointments via Microsoft teams to allow you to talk face-to-face to one of our experienced sales advisers, and even reserve your dream home if you so wish.

Our website offers a wealth of information including downloadable brochures, house types, floor plans and virtual tours of selected properties. We have recently introduced a ‘live chat’ facility to our website and questions are answered by knowledgeable sales advisers who can help with most queries. Likewise, our social media channels offer lots of information and advice that you may find useful when choosing your new home. Our website shows both existing and forthcoming schemes and the ability to pre-register for future developments.

Our solicitors and construction site teams are still working so you can rest assured that we will do our best to progress the sale and build of your new home ready for you to enjoy. Furthermore, mortgage valuations, surveys and removal companies can still operate.

We have now entered a second lockdown albeit only for a four-week period that is due to end on 2nd December.

Whilst it may not quite be ‘business as usual’, there is good news for house hunters this time around as you can still visit housing developments and move home, as long as you adhere to the latest guidelines.

The latest advice from housing secretary Robert Jenrick confirms that housing developers, estate agents and removal firms can continue to operate during lockdown. Furthermore, visits to show homes and sales and marketing suites can still go ahead, and mortgage valuations and surveys can continue to take place.

In line with government guidance, we can only accept pre-booked appointments to view a Stonebridge property. Whilst we can only offer a limited number of viewings (due to the sanitising and cleaning we need to undertake between visits), we will do our very best to help and assist you in your property search.

When viewing a property in person, please make sure you wear a face mask, avoid touching surfaces, and wash your hands and/or use sanitiser before and after. We provide masks and hand sanitisers on all of our developments. Please note viewing parties are limited to no more than 2 people and they must be from the same household.

Mr Jenrick added that “everyone should continue to play their part in reducing the spread of the virus by following the current guidance.”

Everyone should follow the latest guidance for households with confirmed or possible coronavirus infection.

You’ll find contact details for all of our developments on the relevant development page on the website. Alternatively please email: sales@stonebridgehomes.co.uk or telephone us on 0113 357 1100

On-site construction

Government guidance permits our construction teams to continue to operate under the latest restrictions, and additionally, our staff are allowed to attend customer meetings and appointments.

We would like to thank you for your patience and understanding over the last few months and assure you that the continued well-being of our customers, subcontractors and staff remains our number one priority during this unprecedented time.

New customers

For our new customers, we will continue to offer home demonstrations with our sales advisors, and a courtesy meeting with the site manager and customer care manager after your completed sale. These meetings will be conducted under strict social distancing guidelines and will be available via appointment only.

We’re also pleased to be able to offer virtual appointments for those new and prospective customers who wish to do so.

Again, we thank you for your support and co-operation in the meantime.

Our maintenance team is also starting back, again with new working procedures in place. However remedial work going forward will take longer to implement and we are working on a staged return across our sites to catch up with the significant backlog.

In order to safeguard you and our team, we will contact you in the first instance to ensure that no members of your household are isolating or experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms. You will then be allocated a date and time along with some instructions on how to comply with our new health and safety protocols.

If you are an existing customer, please be assured that our Customer Care team has kept track of all new issues reported since March 23rd when the lockdown began and is working hard to arrange new appointments as quickly as possible.

Please be aware, however, that many of our contractors are returning to work at different intervals and like us, they will have a backlog of work to catch up with.

You can be assured that any genuine defect reported over the last few months will be attended to at the very earliest opportunity and we will continue to review our processes over the coming weeks and months to ensure we are always taking the correct steps to protect your health and safety.  Again, we thank you for your support and co-operation in the meantime.

At Stonebridge Homes, we remain committed to providing a safe and secure environment for our customers, contractors and employees and we are doing all that we can to support the Government in containing the spread of COVID-19.

Re-commencement of all on-site operations

The latest Government announcement has confirmed that construction sites and Marketing Suites across the UK can begin to operate once again, providing they can do so safely and with new social distancing measures in place. As such, Stonebridge Homes Marketing Suites will be reopened as of 12pm, Monday 18th May.

Health & Safety remains our number one priority and we have worked tirelessly to assess the steps required to reopen each of our sites and consequently, the new measures that need to be introduced and adhered to, to allow the recommencement of construction for Stonebridge Homes and to reopen our Marketing Suites.

Following a full review of our internal procedures in line with Government guidance, and Construction Leadership Council advice, we are confident that we have a robust set of protocols and guidelines that will allow the safe return of workers to each of our sites.

All staff and contractors have been made aware of our amended site working requirements and robust social distancing protocols, which will be in place at all times, in accordance with current guidance and Health & Safety legislation.

We are open for enquiries and appointments

We would like to thank our customers for their continued support.

Our sales team are available to discuss any enquiries you may have about your future home and would be happy to answer any questions you may have about any of our plots currently available.
