Two Yorkshire towns have been featured in Rightmove’s annual Happy at Home Index, with Skipton in 6th place and Harrogate coming in at 12th.
Each year, Rightmove ask people to share what makes them happy about where they live, and what makes it special. The annual Happy at Home Index, which is now in its 12th year, helps Rightmove to understand what really makes the residents of some areas happier than others, as well as the things that make a place feel like home.
This year, more than 26,000 people living in towns, cities and villages across Great Britain completed the survey, which was based on 13 happiness factors, including community spirit, having green space on the doorstep and the friendliness of local people.
