From fireworks and sparklers to toffee apples and hot dogs, bonfire night is one of our favourite nights of the year here at Stonebridge. We love wrapping up warm and heading out to watch the night sky light up above us.
Here are just a few of our favourite firework displays close to some of our developments.
Featherstone Rovers Fireworks
If you live at The Grange in Wakefield then you’re in luck, as just a 15 minute drive away is Millennium Stadium, the home of Featherstone Rovers. On Friday 3rd November, they’ll be opening their gates for a firework display like no other. There will be delicious street food, funfair rides, a beer tent, live music and even a meet and greet with some of the players. Gates open at 3:30pm, with the firework display starting at 8:00pm.
Tickets are £5 per adult and £2 for juniors.

Big Bang Fireworks Display and Funfair at the Eco-Power Stadium
Under a 15 minute drive from The Meadows is the Eco-Power Stadium, which will be hosting the Big Bang Fireworks Display and Funfair on Friday 3rd November. Described as one of the city’s best firework displays, there will be lots of activities and attractions to keep you entertained throughout the evening. Rodger Tuby and Son Funfair will be there providing an array of exciting and exhilarating rides for all ages to enjoy, including a family favourite; the dodgems. There will also be tasty street food available to enjoy. There will be a children’s display at 6:30pm followed by the main show at 8:45pm.
The event is priced at just £3 when purchased in advance and £5 for standard entry on the day. Children under one metre can enter for free. Doncaster Rovers, Doncaster Rovers Belles, Doncaster RLFC season ticket holders and Doncaster Rovers Flexi and Supporter members can purchase tickets in advance for just £2. If you want to go along with friends, then you can also book a group ticket (minimum of nine people within the group) for just £2 per ticket.

Barnard Castle Bonfire Night
On Friday 3rd November, Barnard Castle Christmas Lights in association with The Clique will be presenting a Bonfire Night extravaganza, just a seven minute drive or 30 minute walk from Ashtree Park. The firework display will be a 15 minute show, with over 2,000 synchronised firework effects to music! Food and drink will also be available throughout the evening. The bonfire will be based on Upper Demesnes (opposite the Bowes Museum), with pedestrian access off Newgate via Parsons Lonnen, which will also be spectacularly lit for the evening. Gates open from 6:00pm, the bonfire will be lit at 6:30pm and the firework display will start at 7:00pm.
If you buy your tickets in advance, it’ll be £6 per adult, £4 per child or £15 for a family ticket (two adults and two children).

Bonfire Weekend at Thornton Hall Country Park
If you’re a resident at Spencer Grange in Skipton, then you’re just over a ten minute drive from Thornton Hall Country Park, an award winning leisure attraction and family-friendly working farm, with rides, a play area and diner. However, on the 3rd and 4th November, they’re bringing the night sky to life with their unique story-led firework display. Featuring fireworks to music, lighting and special effects, this display is not to be missed. And it doesn’t stop there, there will also be fantastic fire-breathers, a funfair and a mini disco for the little ones, as well as tasty food and drink. Saturday the 4th is sold out, however there are still tickets available* for Friday 3rd! The event starts at 5:30pm and will finish at 10:30pm.
Tickets are £14.95 for an adult or child, £9.95 for under three’s, and free for under one’s or carers. You can also buy a group ticket for four people for £54.95.
