Skipton and Harrogate Named in Top 10 Happiest Places to Live

Two Yorkshire towns have been featured in the top 10 of Rightmove’s annual Happy at Home Index, with Harrogate in 5^th place and Skipton coming in at 6^th.

Each year, Rightmove ask people to share what makes them happy about where they live, and what makes it special. The annual Happy at Home Index, which is now in its 13th year, helps Rightmove to understand what really makes the residents of some areas happier than others, as well as the things that make a place feel like home. 

This year, more than 35,000 people living in towns, cities and villages across Great Britain completed the survey, which was based on 15 happiness factors, including community spirit, having green space on the doorstep and the friendliness of local people.
