THE ROLE

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and passionate Land Manager / Senior Land Buyer to join our team. The role will be based in the North East of England in order to support our ambitious growth plans in the region Stonebridge Homes Is a Leeds-based housebuilder, operating throughout Yorkshire and with a well-deserved reputation for building quality, high specification homes in sought after locations. We have a wealth of experience in the housebuilding industry and a proven track record in delivering successful housing schemes.

Over the last ten years, Stonebridge Homes has successfully delivered over 25 developments. We have exciting plans for growth that will soon see us launch new developments in the North East of England and increase the number of outlets in Yorkshire. From 2022 we will begin to substantially increase delivery to become a multi-regional business. Our land department boasts many years of experience working in the development sector with an agile approach to buying land, enabling us to make quick decisions when required. Stonebridge Homes work directly with landowners, local and national agencies where we enjoy good relationships with our stakeholders. Praised for our straightforward approach we are supported by a team of in-house experts including legal, technical and planning ensuring key decisions are taken when they need to be. We are honest and straightforward and work collaboratively to negotiate schemes through planning and then through to successful delivery, as well as ultimately building local communities.

You will be an integral part of a team that is focused on delivering the high-quality land supply required for our ambitious growth plans fulfilling both the immediate needs of the business and future land supply.

As the successful candidate, you will ideally have previous experience in a Land Manager role or will be an experienced Land Buyer looking for your next step. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Identify and assist in securing target sites that match our product and portfolio. Assisting in the project acquisition from identification, diligence, offer, contract, purchase, planning to pre-start
  • Effectively manage key stakeholder relationships to positively promote Stonebridge Homes
  • Establish and maintain high-quality land agent and land owner relationships.
  • Develop and implement effective deal structures
  • Manage and monitor the effective handover of sites to technical colleagues
  • Collaborate with key teams to ensure that the most effective results and plans are achieved

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Significant experience in land acquisition
  • Sound and reliable working knowledge of relevant regulations and legislation
  • Significant working knowledge of the house building industry
  • Experience of both public and private bodies within Planning Development Control
  • Highly skilled at building meaningful and trusted relationships with external and internal partners
  • Experience in negotiating in a commercially astute manner
  • Innovative thinker
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Effective communication skills
