You will be an integral part of our Design & Planning team who are focused on delivering high quality designs and commercially viable planning permissions.

The successful candidate will have significant previous experience in the preparation of large-scale site layouts, preparing accurate and detailed design and planning reports, creating designs and information that are commercially viable whilst enhancing our brand and reputation and be able to work proactively and to a consistently high standard.   • Prepare large-scale site layouts for bid appraisal and planning purposes
  • Prepare detailed reports assessing Design & Planning issues for bid appraisals
  • Provide development schedules with consideration of densities and coverage
  • Create and develop designs and information that are commercially viable and meet regulative and legislative requirements
  • Process and record changes to drawings appropriately and in a timely fashion, maintaining appropriate drawing registers
  • Identify, build and maintain relationships with internal colleagues, external consultants and statutory bodies
  • Pro-actively manage live planning applications to ensure timely positive determination and to support the Planning function of the department


  • Degree level qualification in Architecture or Urban Design related subject with post qualification work experience circa 2 years
  • Practical design, project management and co-ordination experience
  • Fluent in AutoCAD, MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite and 3D modelling software (i.e SketchUp)
  • Hand drawing, presentation and illustration ability
  • Sound and reliable working knowledge of regulations and legislation within house building industry
  • Effective communication skills
